There is big news coming for fans of Escape From Tarkov: today, June 09, the developers are launching a TarkovTV livestream, where they will share the biggest announcements. This will be followed shortly after by the Summer Games Fest, where Tarkov will also be represented, as always. Guided.news now tells you what to expect.
What’s going on? A few days ago, the head developer of Escape From Tarkov (Nikita Buyanov) announced that there will soon be a new TarkovTV. This will be a livestream where the latest changes, updates and wipe news for Tarkov will be discussed. Today, on 09 June 2022, this is supposed to happen again. At the same time, the Summer Games Fest will also take place, where at least one major new feature for the survival shooter will be presented.
TarkovTV Live: Is the wipe or arena coming?
When will it start? The Livestream for TarkovTV will start at 12:30 p.m. (EST) or 6:30 p.m. CET. The stream should be around one to 1.5 hours long. Find out what news you can expect now.
Is the wipe coming? New information about the next wipe of Escape From Tarkov is very popular among fans. Rumors have been persistent for a long time. Almost every day another “insider” has something to say about this wipe. A wipe in Tarkov is usually accompanied by a major update. So far we only know that two of them are in the works:
- Lighthouse Update: Brings the expansion with Lighthouse Island for the map Lighthouse & the first In-Raid-Trader Lightkeeper.
- Streets Update: This update includes the ambitious map Streets of Tarkov, whose release window we know for a short time.
However, only the patch with Streets is sure to come with a wipe for the Tarkov database. The Lighthouse expansion is not expected to bring a wipe, according to developer Battlestate Games. However, an announcement for a wipe is quite likely, at least if it comes in connection with an update teaser!
What about the arena mode? A few days ago, we saw the first teaser trailer and gameplay for Tarkov: Arena. Questions remained about Arena, which we tried to answer. These new Tarkov maps could be the subject of discussion
Apart from Arena and the expected Wipe, fans are mainly hoping for news about the upcoming maps Streets of Tarkov, Terminal and the expansion for Lighthouse. Terminal was already teased a few days ago. Street has been in the works for several years, and the Lighthouse expansion is confirmed to be the first brick.
Accordingly, it’s almost certain that we’ll get a glimpse of both Lighthouse and Streets of Tarkov tonight. Terminal remains more of a fringe candidate for TarkovTV Live and Summer Games Fest for now.
