The Counter Strike tournament Paris Major 2023 has already started a few days ago, and we are following not only the results and live streams for you -- In this article, we answer the question: Which souvenir packages should you choose?

What is it about? Which souvenir package should you choose, Anubis, Ancient, or Inferno after all? We answer the question, looking at the skins included, the possible price development of the packages and the skins in them.

  • Which souvenir package should you take?
  • Should you sell or open souvenir packages?

Which souvenir package is the best from Paris Major 2023?

Here follows the list of the best souvenir packages, from crappy to awesome!

  • Inferno - Dual Barettas & Sg 553 are unpopular skins
  • Nuke - Skins are some of the most unpopular in CSGO.
  • Overpass - Contains many old school skins.
  • Ancient - AK Panthera Onca and M4A1 Welcome to the Jungle
  • Vertigo - Five Seven Fall Hazard & M4A1 Imminent Danger are popular skins.
  • Mirage - Deagle "Desert Fox" and AWP "Desert Hydra
  • Anubis - because brand new, never had before and good M4A4

Further explanation: In total, there are seven maps in the Major's map pool. According to these maps, there are also seven different souvenir packs that you can redeem. To do so, go to the TV icon, click on Majors and then on Blasttv. Here you will find all the completed matches, with info about the card played and the participating teams. For example, if you want a package from Nuke, you need to redeem your souvenir coin at a Nuke match. Watch out! Depending on which teams participated in your chosen match, the weapons you draw will contain stickers from those teams!

Here you will find the button to redeem your souvenir tokens.

Keep, sell or open? This is what you should do with your souvenir packages

After receiving your souvenir package, you're probably wondering what should happen now. You basically have three options here, but one of them won't work until May 18 at the earliest:

  • Open the package and hope to receive a Covert skin.
  • Sell the package directly on Steam on May 18th and earn a few Euros.
  • Keep the package and wait to see how the price develops over the years.

You now know which souvenir package is the best.

We can't recommend the first method in any case. Sure, if you really pull an AWP - Desert Hydra or something similar, your next summer vacation is assured, if it weren't for the low probabilities. Pulling a Covert skin from a souvenir collection is even less likely than getting a knife from a box. With a 1 in 4,000 chance, we wish good luck to all the crazy gamblers who put all their eggs in one basket!

Option 2 is more like it, as the trade freeze for Paris Major 2023 souvenir packs expires right on May 18. Then the packages flood the Steam market and the price dump begins. If you are one of the first to be able to sell your packages, a euro or two will surely be yours. In most cases, you can recoup your original cost of the Viewer Pass that quickly. If you get a lot of pick'ems right, you might even get a new M4A1 skin!

Perhaps the best option, however, is to keep the souvenir packs and wait for their price to shoot up. Take the Cobblestone Souvenir Packages from the 2018 Boston Major, here you can pull a Souvenir Dragonlore. Absolutely insane at the odds mentioned, yet players keep trying! The Souvenir package alone is currently €1,300 in the Steam market.

Even if Desert Hydra or AK Pentheral never reach the status of a Dragonlore, your Paris Major 2023 Souvenir Package might slip into the 2 to triple digits. In our opinion, it's more than worth a try.
