What’s going on? The developers of the Dead Space remake have announced official details about the preload and launch of their game, as well as the system requirements on PC via Twitter. We summarize the most important information in this news.
Dead Space: Official Preload and Launch Dates
When does the preload of Dead Space (2023) start? Depending on which platform you pre-ordered Dead Space for, you can start the preload at different times:
- Xbox Series X/S: January 20, 2023 at 5 p.m. CET.
- PlayStation 5: January 25, 2023 at 5 p.m. CET.
- PC: January 25, 2023 at 5 p.m. CET.
So fans of the Microsoft console can already download approximately 50 GB of game files; everyone else will have to be patient. However, two days should be enough time for the preload in most cases so that you can play the game on time for the launch.
When can I start playing? Dead Space will be released on January 27, 2023. Similar to the preload, we can start playing from 5 p.m. CET.

By the way, there are two separate graphics modes for the console versions: Quality mode renders Dead Space in 4K resolution with ray tracing, but the game then only runs at 30 fps. If you choose the Performance mode, you will see the horror shooter in 2K resolution without ray tracing but with 60 fps.
