If you’re in the gaming bubble on Twitter, you know for sure that spoilers often happen here, which is why today we are showing you how you will never be spoiled again in Resident Evil 8 and all other games.
Twitter invites to this: There is hardly any other industry that leaks and reports as often as in gaming. Many insiders and many preliminary tests ensure that the average consumer sometimes sees too much before even buying a game. So that this doesn’t happen to you in the upcoming Resident Evil 8, today we’re going to show you how you can protect yourself from spoilers on Twitter.
Easily bypass spoilers on Twitter for Resident Evil & Co.
The problem is big: We at Guided.news and Survivethis.news know how quickly you can be spoiled for games on the Twitter short message platform. With Resident Evil 8 Village coming out in a few days, we asked ourselves how you can avoid spoilers on Twitter.
In order for you to be spoiled again on Resident Evil 8, Gaming, or any other topic, you have to somehow escape the source of the spoiler. Of course, you can now simply unfollow anyone who is in this bubble and could potentially post something about it. But then you will not find out anything else about this person or group – so how then?
Block Twitter terms in the browser
How it works: You can add add-ons (extensions for Chrome) for the browser that allow you to block words entered on Twitter. In our case we used the “Larry Filter” extension. This is where you easily add the words that spoilers could appear. Here is a short list so that it remains hurdle-free for you:
- Resident Evil 8
- Village
- Ethan Winters
- Miranda
- Chris Redfield
- Dimitrescu
- RE8
If the Larry filter is then active, all tweets that contain one of these terms will be hidden from you. So if you often use Twitter while you are at the computer, this is a great solution. Just don’t forget to delete the terms once you’ve finished playing the game.
Block Twitter terms in the mobile app
Even easier: On mobile devices, the blocking of certain terms is a whole lot easier. Twitter already offers built-in filters here. If you have found them and fed them with terms related to Resident Evil 8 or similar, the filter works exactly like “Larry filters”.
- Press the bell icon at the bottom of the screen
- Now click on the gear in the upper corner
- Select “Muted Words” here
- Include hashtags and terms to block them.
And that’s how quickly you blocked the terms on your mobile app. We hope that you will get into the release of Resident Evil 8 – or insert any game here – without spoilers.
