Every beginning is difficult, which is why we are going to show you more about the Hunt Showdown Quickplay in this guide. If you click on the right side, there is a ToC (Table of Contents).

Quickplay guide: If you are just getting into Hunt Showdown, the beginning of your hunter career in bayou can be very arduous. That is why we have written a guide for you and only for you, which takes care of the quick play mode and gives you important tips.

How to win Quickplay in Hunt Showdown! From the basics to the “tactics”

What is quickplay? The quick play mode in Hunt Showdown is basically the battle royale version of the game. You start alone and with little equipment. During the current round you have to find better equipment and traits and be the last to survive. This makes Quickplay the only game mode for solo players in Hunt Showdown.

The basics: As mentioned above, this mode is about being the last survivor to extract from the round. You can keep the hunter after the round. But let’s start at the beginning, well before the first round.

1. Starting equipment

If you select Quickplay in the main menu of the game, the first decision you have to make is which equipment you want to start with. You can also choose from 5 different options how your Hunter should look. In addition, you choose one of 4 classes, this starts with one of the weapons listed below:

Short distance

  • Specter Compact
  • LeMat Mark II
  • Romero Handcannon
  • Caldwell Rival Handcannon

Medium distance

  • Nagant M1895
  • Nagant Precision
  • Hand crossbow
  • Caldwell Conversion
  • Nagant M1895 Silencer
  • Nagant M1895 Dual Wield
  • Caldwell Conversion Pistol Dual Wield
  • Nagant M1895 Silencer Dual Wield

Close combat

  • Cavalry Saber
  • Machete
  • Combat Ax

Random weapon

  • Here you will randomly get one of the weapons listed above.

In the round itself, you can of course find more and often better weapons and exchange them.

2. Task & Wellspring explained

The first round begins and everyone rushes off, but where do you want to go and what is your job? Before all players are in the match, you can use the Darkvision (key “E”) to look around and see where the rifts to be closed are.

You have to close 4 of these as quickly as possible and thus activate the Wellspring. If this is active, a timer of 450 points runs out. 1 point corresponds to 2 seconds (900 seconds / 15 minutes). But every time the Wellspring owner kills a hunter, 50 points are deducted from the timer.

The longer a player is the owner of the Wellspring, the more points he receives after the quick play match. If he is shot while doing this, however, he will not get anything, no matter how long he has owned him.

3. The round begins – you have to do this!

Before you start: Check out where the rifts are right before you start. Then open the map and plan a route where you can close four of the rifts as quickly as possible. You should note:

  • Distance: Plan a route that will quickly get you to four rifts.
  • Obstacles: watch out for obstacles on the way. If the route is blocked by water or buildings, reschedule it.
  • Points of attraction: Pay close attention to gamer focal points such as refill stations or rifts.
  • Double rifts: It is not always worth going to a location for two rifts, sometimes it is. You can determine this by whether one of the locations of double rifts (guide) is on the edge of the marked zone (or in a bulge) or not. If the answer is yes, choose the more obvious single rift.

4. Fight only in an emergency

How to behave: If you want to win in the quick play mode of Hunt Showdown as a beginner or an advanced player, you should keep a low profile. Avoid face-to-face confrontations that have a 50/50 or greater chance of dying.

In this mode, the aim is not to send as many players as possible across the Mississippi, but to get the Wellspring and survive until the timer runs out. Most players don’t make it there because they insist too much on the PvP part of Hunt Showdown.

Yes, Quickplay is not called “QUICK”play for nothing, you can die and immediately look for a new match without loss, but that is not the way to success. So when you run into players, try to hit them in the back or flank, the element of surprise counts.

If you own the Wellspring and you have to defend yourself on the other hand, things will get tricky. Often several hunters will storm your position at the same time. So carefully tick off your survival checklist:

  • Position: Secure yourself a position that is easy to defend and that in the best case scenario has more than one outcome.
  • Be silent: stay calm and listen carefully to steps
  • Keep Covered: Do not storm and kill the first hunter to appear. Often others follow him who engage him and themselves in a deadly fight.
  • Set up traps: Set up traps when you can. It is more effective to set up stumbling blocks behind corners instead of doors, your opponents do not expect them here.
