The horror-FPS game Metro: Exodus got revealed during the E3 conference last year and was officially planned for quarter 4 of 2018. While the game is delayed, the developers still have some surprises in store, which will make up for it.
What does Exodus bring
In Metro: Exodus it’s the year 2036, a quarter century after the nuclear war. In here thousands of survivors are living in the metro tunnels of Moscow. However, your character will need to escape from the Metro and lead a band of Spartan Rangers.
As it’s a story-driven game with signs of horror and survival, you will need to explore the Russian wilderness, survive the poisoned elements and fight mutated beasts. In addition, the choices you make will have an impact on the story and might even lead to the death of your companions.
A tough decision
The Metro game series started back in 2010 and with the upcoming title, Deep Silver and 4A Games are looking to make the most ambitious Metro game since then. However, to reach this they decided to move the release date from Q4 2018 to the first quarter of 2019.
The development of Metro Exodus is progressing well; we are all really excited by what we are seeing. We want everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date at its absolute best and therefore we have taken the decision to move the release date to Q1 2019. – 4A Games
But, fans don’t have to be that disappointed as the developers promise to reveal more about the game at the E3 Conference as well as new gameplay videos.
