There are always problems connecting to Modern Warfare 2's servers, to the point where players wait minutes to find a match, only to discover that their connection screen is bogged down. When does the error appear? The problem with the connection to matchmaking in Modern Warfare 2 usually appears when you are in a lobby with 2 or more players. At least that is our personal experience with the bug.
How to fix the connection problem: Otherwise, we advise you to verify the data or update your drivers. However, with this bug in MW2, there is nothing you can do except apply the following workaround to fix the eternal connection:
From here, search for a new multiplayer match as usual. If you followed the instructions above, you should now be able to find a round again. As with Hostage Rescue, the bottom left window should no longer say join forever, but Search for Match. Now you just wait for the match to happen, and you can destroy your opponents again!
