The Rust pre-order beta for the consoles has started. We explain everything you need to know about this phase, including the start date, duration and process!
Here we go: The pre-order beta for Rust started on the consoles on April 23rd at 12:00 p.m. German time. The developers give an important Q&A about the current beta of the survival game, the most frequently asked questions of which we have here for you!
What you should know about Rust’s pre-order beta
Q: How long will the beta last?
Answer: The beta runs on PlayStation from April 23rd to May 3rd, 2021. Since the Xbox version will follow later, the dates for this will only be announced in retrospect. Presumably, the pre-order beta for Rust players on Xbox will be extended.
Q: Do I need a game key for the Rust Beta?
Answer: No, the Rust Pre-Order Beta is automatically available to all players who have a copy of the Rust Deluxe or Ultimate Edition reserved on their account. If you have already bought the game via the online shop, the system will immediately recognize you as a participant.
Q: Have there been any updates since the last beta?
Answer: Yes, the current Rust beta has been greatly improved compared to the previous one. The developers have already spoken about their new experiences. The pre-order beta from Rust should run much more stable and crash less often. Some visual changes have also been made.
It should be said, however, that this is still an unfinished version of the game that does not reflect the quality standards of the developer or the finished version of Rust.
Q: Can I post videos and streams from the pre-order beta?
Answer: Yes, it is allowed to publish and share videos, pictures or streams of the current Rust beta, it is even encouraged. Nevertheless, the material from the previous beta phase remains under an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).
