Ubisoft's Skull & Bones has been in development for a number of years and has repeatedly fallen into the depths of development hell. But now there is a new sign of life and the developers want to show new gameplay in a live stream very soon.
That's going on: In a short teaser trailer, Ubisoft reveals the date for a gameplay reveal live stream for the upcoming pirate game Skull & Bones. On July 7th at 8:00 p.m. it should be ready.
The action role-playing game Skull & Bones was announced many years ago and has been going through so-called development hell ever since. You hardly hear anything about the game, development is halting and concepts are discarded or even newly developed. There have been some rumors that development is just not going well and that the game may be shelved.
The game itself is aimed at fans of pirates. As the captain of your own ship, you sail the seven seas, fight other pirates, and increase your loot. Not much is really known at which stage Skull & Bones is currently or which of the planned gameplay features are still available. What is certain, however, is that Skull & Bones are based on the shipping from Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, which was celebrated by fans of the series.
Recently, there were new leaks for Skull & Bones that reveal the release date. A Microsoft store apparently accidentally listed Skull & Bones, with the release, pre-order bonuses, and price information. However, the posts were quickly deleted. But what has leaked out is November 8, 2022 as a potential release date.
Ubisoft will also be at this year's Gamescom in Cologne and have something big up their sleeve. Now that they're planning a Skull & Bones live stream for July 7th, it's safe to assume we can expect a release later this year. Let's just wait!
