According to this, the smoke can now adapt to its environment and moves forward realistically. The smoke can also move past objects and fill entire rooms. Read more in our full report: Counter Strike 2: New Smoke Grenades & Volumetric Smoke Explained
Ubisoft plans to use an AI called Ghostwriter to write all NPC conversations in the future. This was presented during the current Game Developer Conference in Los Angeles. The program is to be fed with basic information beforehand and then help the authors of various Ubisoft studios to generate NPC texts.
If you give Ghostwriter a sample text and tell it what role an NPC fulfills in the game world, the AI creates so-called barks, which can be edited further or taken. Ubisoft could thus continue to fill the large open worlds with content without investing many resources and time. However, this only applies to unimportant NPCs; main plots will continue to be written by human authors.
The closed beta for Diablo 4 has already been over for a few days, but it has now been announced that over one million players took part in the closed beta. However, the beta did not run without problems, and in the first few days, there were queues that lasted for hours, server crashes, and errors.
Blizzard employee Rod Ferguson has now explained that the issues should not occur at release. On the contrary, the beta is meant to test the servers to further optimize the game for launch. The beta is, therefore, not an “advertisement”, and bugs are to be expected. The upcoming open beta is supposed to run much better in order to enable a smooth start for the release in June.
