On May 19th 2017 The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker got released on Steam. Because of the highly demand the developers D’Avekki Studios decided to partner with Wales Interactive to bring a pleasant surprise to the fans.
Get your consoles ready
In The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker you are a psychiatrist. While treating the patients of Doctor Dekker you have to solve a murder, simply by asking them questions. The game was original released on PC but is now optimised for console, bringing it to PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch in spring 2018. Tim Cowles, director and Co-Writer at D’Avekki Studios announced:
“Wales Interactive have curated a superb catalogue of FMV titles and we’re really looking forward to working with them on the console releases.”
The previous game titles of D’Avekki Studios such as Late Shift and The Bunker have been received pretty well and their community wanted more of these interactive movie titles, known as FMV: Full Motion video. They hope to get a bigger audience by releasing the game on consoles.
A few changes have been made to the game to make it work on the consoles. One of the big parts in the PC version is asking your own questions and writing keywords this version already has a suggested questions system, but the console version will be slightly updated as this will be the only option to ask questions. It also features visual and navigational UI enhancements.
The game just as on PC will have multiple ending and stories, with six main suspects and five side quests. At the start of the game one of the six patients gets randomly chosen as murderer.
