16-year-old Twitch streamer Nathan, who has mostly played Minecraft for the past 2 years, is losing over 21,000 followers overnight. The Twitch community doesn’t think that’s cool and helps to bring the account back to normal.
This is what happened: On January 14th, the Twitch streamer Nathan contacted his community via Twitter. He was shocked to find that his more than 21,000 followers on Twitch had disappeared. He had built this with great effort over a period of 26 months.

The fact that Twitch is a topic of conversation again and again due to unfair or even questionable bans should have long been known. It doesn’t always only affect the big ones, but also the small ones. Nathan was not banned, but Twitch apparently deleted all followers from his account, including some well-known streamers like Tubbo (1.9 million followers).

This is how the community reacts: The community is not amused about this situation. They express their anger at Twitch and ask Twitch support for clarification. However, we believe they are waiting in vain for an answer on how this could happen.
With another tweet, Nathan then turned to the Twitter community again and asked for help directly. The help came quite quickly. During his first stream after losing his followers, he was subscribed to by many fans and other supporters. Minecraft streamer Tubbo also came by and gave away 100 subs.

The community help was successful. After just two hours, Nathan had cracked 10,000 followers. The support from the community hits Nathan emotionally, so you can see one or two tears ran down his face in his last stream. At the current time of this writing, his channel has over 16,000 followers.
If the community sticks together, they can survive the injustices of Twitch. It remains to be seen whether Twitch support will react to this after all the messages and restore the deleted followers.
