Dave the Diver is a new game that was in beta testing until June, but it has been released, and everyone has access to it. In this game, you play the role of a diver named Dave. The game's main idea is to develop a sushi restaurant; for this, you need to dive into the ocean's depths to get fresh seafood.
It is not an easy task to develop the restaurant where you work, and for this, you will need employees, which is why we have created a guide about the best staff in Dave the Diver. Recruiting staff is not an easy task, at first, you will be able to hire the worst, but as the story progresses, you will have access to better and better ones. In this guide, we have selected the best staff that we recommend you to focus on getting.
This is how you activate the function: Before looking for the best options for your restaurant, you need to unlock the opportunity to hire staff. To do this, you will need to complete Yoshie's quest. This quest is a challenging task, as you will need to prepare a Whitetip shark head for a client. When you complete this task, Yoshie will open access to hiring, and you will be able to search for job candidates.
How to search for applicants: If you want to search for applicants now, it takes one day. You have 3 options, which differ in price and effectiveness:
Once applicants have contacted you, they remain selectable for you until you activate a new advertisement.
If you've played this game, you probably know how important it is to hire the right staff. If you fail to do this, your visitors may be dissatisfied and write bad reviews on social media. In general, we can divide staff into three categories, namely:
In total, there are 14 possible employees to hire. Each of them has two unique skills, and you can also upgrade them during the game up to level 20. Of course, we could describe all 14 staff members, but we are here to find out about the best of them. We won't take up too much of your time and say that the best candidates are Yone and El Nino. Here's what we have to say about each of them.
An ideal employee in the serving category. At level 20, his serving skills reach an incredible 1033 points. Here are his abilities:
If you have a choice between El Nino and someone else, don't hesitate, you won't find a better service worker.
Unlike El Nino, this worker will not help with service but will be able to prepare perfect dishes. When Yone reaches the maximum level, its cooking skills reach 1752 points. Apart from that, here are the skill sets she has:
You won't find a better chef anywhere, so be sure to pay attention when choosing staff.
At first glance, Itsuki really doesn't look good, as she only offers one point in each category. However, she only costs 4 gold, so she is a cheap worker, especially at the beginning. The big advantage with her, however, is that she makes incredible progress with every training and at level 20 is one of the best workers.
So Itsuki is worth it, even if she seems like a walking disaster at the beginning.
In Dave the Diver, your employees can not only cook or serve, but also do other tasks. We'll tell you what they are.
Once you have found good employees, you should spend your surplus gold on sending them to training. Don't worry, training is always completed immediately and improves your staff's stats, so you don't have to send them out for the evening. You can train each member up to level 20 to unlock more skills. However, with each level up, the next training costs more and more gold.
Staff that you are not actively using in the restaurant are in the waiting room. Here they sit lazily and do nothing. But you can change that. You can use them to collect certain ingredients, and you should do so. To do this, go to the waiting room and click on “Dispatch”, select the desired ingredient, and send your employee to collect it.
Now you know everything you need to know about your staff. Have fun managing your own sushi restaurant.
