The numerous colorful effects that every car in Need for Speed Unbound has are reminiscent of comics or manga. Fans of the Need for Speed series get an unusual innovation here, which probably won’t suit everyone’s taste. Turn off effects in Need for Speed Unbound
Of course it came as it had to: Such a radical visual innovation in a popular game series like Need for Speed is bound to divide the fan community. While one side celebrates the new effects and finds them cool, the other side is not very enthusiastic. When you display all the effects, it can be a bit overwhelming, because there are effects on:
- Tire
- on the spoiler
- on the wing
- on jumps next to the car
- an emoji above your car
But where can you turn off these graphic effects? The option is actually a bit hidden and not necessarily immediately discoverable, because you search in vain in the “Options” as well as in the “Graphics Settings”.
If you want to turn off the flashy and flashy effects in Need for Speed Unbound, you have to proceed like this:
- Go to your garage
- Select “Car
- Click on “Style” and then on “Driving Effects
- Now select “Tags” and look for the common effect “Camouflaged”. Equip it and the effects during the races are disabled.
One more tip: You will notice that even with the common “Cloaked” tag it is not possible to turn off the driving effects completely. You will still see the smoke behind your vehicle. However, with the tags you can at least turn off all other driving effects.
