Overwatch 2 has been online since October 4th, but players keep having problems. The BC-153 login error is currently making the rounds, and we will tell you how to fix the issue.
That's it: On October 4th, at the start of Overwatch 2, there were plenty of issues. Players have reported queues of up to 40,000, and we have experienced them too. There were also various disconnections and server errors. A login was hardly possible. Now, Players are reporting the BC-153 login error, but you can fix it.
The BC-153 Login Error is currently one of the most common errors you will find in Overwatch 2. Developer Blizzard Entertainment has not yet commented on this, but various solutions have already helped other players. That doesn't mean they'll help you, but it's worth a try.
The simplest solution is to wait. The error can also come from Blizzard's servers being overloaded by the onslaught of players. So try again later. Don't want to wait? Then read on.
Some players report being able to bypass the error after restarting their PlayStation, Xbox, or PC. If that doesn't help on its own, restarting the router may help. Once you've done both, try logging into Overwatch 2 again.
If your router connects to a down DNS server, your overall connection quality will suffer. If that's the case, switch to a Google or OpenDNS-like server.
The DNS address of the Google server is 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. But be aware that this gives Google more information about you than conventional DNS servers.
If nothing works, you can try the following suggested solutions from the community:
If you're still getting the error, you can also contact Blizzard Support. They probably won't have a solution immediately, but the more people report it, the more likely there will be an official fix.
