The hero shooter Overwatch 2 has been available since October and has changed the shop system compared to its predecessor. In addition to Overwatch Coins, you can use Legacy Credits to purchase skins. We'll tell you how to get your Legacy Credits!
These are legacy credits: In addition to the Overwatch coins, the legacy credits are a currency in Overwatch 2 that you can use to buy skins in the shop, for example. This currency is a holdover from its predecessor and cannot be purchased for real money.
You will receive Legacy Credits as an Overwatch 1 owner. The more credits you have left in Overwatch 1, the more you will receive in Overwatch 2. The currency will be credited to you automatically as soon as you go to the hero selection in the menu. There you can switch between all your characters and examine the different skins.
Some of these skins can then only be purchased with the Legacy Credits. If you didn't get any credits but own Overwatch 1, you should ensure you're logged in with the same Battle.net account.
The Legacy Credits are also displayed in the upper right corner of the screen if you select a skin that can only be bought with this currency.
If you have used up your Legacy Credits in Overwatch 2, there is currently no way to get new ones. Since it is an old currency, it should probably be completely eradicated over time. But that makes them very valuable now and in the future. However, you cannot use them for any purpose other than old skins.
