As in the first part of the series, you can unlock golden weapons for your heroes in Overwatch 2. In this article, we will show you how to get the golden weapon and what requirements you have to fulfill.
What’s going on: Golden weapon skins were already available in Overwatch 1. These are now also available for your heroes in Overwatch 2. We'll now tell you how you can unlock them and which conditions you have to fulfill.
It takes a while to unlock the golden weapons for your heroes. That's why we're going to explain to you one by one how to get the weapons. We'll start with the basic requirements that you have to fulfill.
Prerequisite: Firstly, you have to unlock the competition mode. To do that, you need to win at least 50 times in Quick Play. After that, you can be ranked in the competitive mode. Thereby you get so-called Competitive Points (CP). After each match, you get a certain number of these points. These are also necessary for getting the golden weapon skins.
The outcome of the match is decisive for the number of CP generated. Here you have an overview of how many points you get for which result.
You are probably wondering what the CP are good for. You need them to rise in the ranking. We have briefly summarized all the ranks and how many CP are necessary for this.

To unlock the golden weapons, you need to collect at least 3,000 CP. Since each win equals 15 CP and each draw equals 5 CP, you have to play well enough to end up somewhere in that spectrum:
