How to Unlock the New Heroes in Overwatch 2
Four new heroes have been announced for Overwatch so far. Three of them have already been playable since the beta. The fourth is a previously unknown tank. We’ll show you how to unlock the three new heroes.
Unlock Sojourn and Junker Queen
With Sojourn a new damage dealer comes into the game. The Junker Queen, on the other hand, is a new tank. You can get both heroes for free by logging into the game before Season 2. Players who have already played the first part with their account will have the opportunity to get both characters for free until Season 3.
If you want to buy the two heroes after this free period, you will have to buy them in the in-game store. No exact prices are known yet. However, we suspect that it will be around 1,000 Overwatch coins.

Overwatch 1 players will get Kiriko for free until the end of Season 2 as part of the Founder Pack if they played Overwatch 1 before June 23.
If you’re a newcomer, you can buy the Battle Pass for 1,000 Overwatch coins and get Kiriko right away. However, if you don’t want to spend money, the free Battle Pass will give you Kiriko at level 55.
Tip: If you play in a group or complete the daily challenges, you’ll get more experience points and unlock Kiriko faster.
How to Get the Locked Heroes from Overwatch 1
If you have the problem that you can only play a small selection of the original heroes from the first Overwatch, there are two solutions:
Overwatch 1 Players: If you have already played the first part of Overwatch, all the old heroes will automatically be available to you. It is important that you use the same Battle.Net account for both games. With the release of Overwatch 2, you will also have to enter your cell phone number for verification. Blizzard wants to take a more active stance against cheaters.
Beginners: If Overwatch 2, on the other hand, is the first part of the series that you play, you have to pay attention to a few things. Blizzard has made the experience that new players feel overwhelmed by the large selection and complexity. According to Blizzard, you need to have played a maximum of 150 matches to unlock all the heroes from Overwatch 1. However, the developers estimate that it will only be about 100 matches, because matches that you win count twice.
