In System Shock Remake, the Bridge Puzzle on the Medical Deck is one of the bigger challenges. This guide tells you exactly how the Bridge Puzzle works and how to solve it.
The Bridge Puzzle is confusing at first: In the remake of the immersive sim System Shock you sometimes come across cryptic puzzles that are not explained by the game. One of those is the Bridge Puzzle on the Medical Deck, which this guide is dedicated to. It explains exactly what the puzzle is about and how you can ultimately solve it.

System Shock Remake: How to Solve the Bridge Puzzle
Let’s assume that you are already on the Medical Deck and are facing the Bridge Puzzle. It’s a switchboard, with the help of which you have to redirect electricity from A to B. More precisely: The energy flowing out from point 1 in the screenshot below has to reach point 2 via several detours.
The energy naturally makes its way through the orange glowing, rotatable line fragments that are distributed over the entire control panel. So you must always rotate the fragments so that they pass the energy to the next fragment. Once energy is flowing through a fragment, it lights up yellow, so you can always see if and where the energy is flowing.
Sometimes you also have to turn the red, diode-like fragments (3) to divert the energy. You can imagine them as switches. The energy exits on the open side here, while it is absorbed on the opposite (and strangely enough closed) side. Additionally, there may be actual diodes, but their function (on/off) is self-explanatory.
That is almost all you need to know. Finally, it should be said that the Bridge Puzzle is based on a random design. This means that in your game you will most likely be facing a differently designed panel than in our example.
Therefore, there is no one universal way to solve the puzzle. However, if you follow our instructions, the bridge puzzle should not cause you too many problems. In the screenshot below you can see our solved panel picture. Due to the glaring light reflections, we have repainted the normally yellow light-up wire green. Do you also have problems with the Wire Puzzle? We have a solution for that one as well.
