To unlock more weapons or skills in Warhammer 40,000 Darktide, you need to level up your character. We’ll tell you how to do that the fastest and push your trust rank.
How leveling works: Leveling in Warhammer 40,000 Darktide is similar to other games at first glance. You complete missions, side quests, or collect special items. However, you basically don’t level up your own level, but your trust rank. You need this to unlock better equipment and to get more tasks in the game.
How to Level up Fast in Warhammer 40K Darktide
If you want to level up your class to the current maximum level of 30 as quickly as possible in Warhammer 40,000 Darktide, you simply have to complete one mission after the other. By doing so, you’ll increase your trust rank and unlock more and more weapon types, abilities, or cosmetic items. You’ll also get access to the different areas of the Mourningstar, the player hub in Darktide.
Actually, leveling up is quite simple, but tedious. We have a few tips for you to make leveling easier.
This is what the difficulty levels of the missions bring:
- Sedition: 2,280 gold, 1,900 experience points
- Uprising: 4,180 gold, 2,000 experience points
- Malice: 7,440 gold, 3,100 experience points
- Heresy: 14,820 gold, 4,250 experience points
- Damnation: 19,950 gold, 5,450 experience points
This is what you do now: We recommend you choose the 2nd difficulty level “Uprising” at the beginning of your adventure. It’s not much harder than the first difficulty level, but it will bring you a bit more experience points and almost double the gold. The 3rd level “Malice” is much more difficult, but you should only select it from level 10 and up and if you have good teammates. From level 20 you can switch to Heresy, but here you also need a good team.
The 5th level can be unlocked from level 12, but it is too challenging without a good team and the time you invest is often not worth the experience bonus. Especially not if the mission fails.
If you want to earn even more experience points, select level 2+ missions that include an additional task. For example, collecting grimoires or scripts.
Tip: The number of enemies you defeat during the mission does not affect your experience points. So if you see a level 2 or 3 mission in the mission terminal marked with a yellow down arrow, select it. There are fewer hordes and elite enemies in this mission, so you’ll get through it more easily.
