In Merlin's quest "Crystal Mystery" you have to follow the wizard in Disney Dreamlight Valley to the Forest of Valor. What exactly there is to do, we tell you in our guide.
Unfortunately, the description of the quest "Crystal Mystery" is not very informative. It only says: "He wants to investigate a strange crystal he found in the Forest of Valor. He believes it may be connected to Donald Duck's adventures in the Dark Grove." So what exactly do you need to do to complete the quest for the wizard Merlin?
First of all, you need to start the quest with Merlin himself by talking to him. Once the above dialogue is exhausted, you'll have to follow the wizard to the Forest of Valor and look for the mysterious crystal there. This is located in the south of the area, right next to a pillar that stands behind a rock. The location is marked by golden sparks.
Collect the crystal and visit Merlin again to show it to him. You will learn that the crystal is a "mysterious shard", more precisely a so-called night shard, which is the counterpart of the dream shards. Now that Merlin has received this shard from you, he will ask you to search for more such shards.
So, in order to complete the wizard's quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will have to bring him more Night Shards. Merlin requires a total of five Night Shards, which means you need to find four more of them. These are also indicated by golden sparks. Dig in the appropriate places to get the shards. When you have all five night shards together, give them to Merlin.
Now Merlin will ask you to find a dream shard as well. You must then use this to clean the Nightshards on a workbench to make a Purified Nightshard. Dream shards can be found all over Disney Dreamlight Valley. They are also indicated by sparks above the ground. If you dig in these places, you have a chance to get dream shards.
Once you have crafted the Purified Nightshard at your workbench, all you have to do is give it to any villager and the quest is complete.
