Of course, even the stingiest Disney darling has a quest for you. Scrooge McDuck has you bring him numerous items in his quest "The Treasure Hunt" in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which - how could it be otherwise - lead to a large treasure of money in the end.
"The Treasure Hunt" - Quest of Scrooge McDuck is one of the more extensive missions in Disney Dreamlight Valley. There is a lot to do and especially some objects to collect. In our guide, we'll show you how to proceed step by step and satisfy the old miser in the end, so that you can also master this quest with flying colors.
Scrooge's quest "The Treasure Hunt" consists of two subtasks. To start Part 1 of the quest, your friendship level with Scrooge must be at least level eight. If you meet these level requirements, you can activate the first part of the quest with Scrooge by talking to him. Once the quest starts with Scrooge, you'll receive - get this - a coin from him. You must use this to unlock a memory.
This memory shows three different locations with hiffen parts of the map.
Afterwards, talk to the duck again and get the task to find the places shown in the above mentioned memory. In all these places, pieces of a treasure map are waiting for you to find and assemble.
The first piece of the treasure map is located on the dazzle beach, more precisely at the transition to the Forest of Valor. The exact location of this map piece (as well as the locations of the other pieces) is indicated by glittering sparks above the ground. Dig there to get the map piece.
Next you need to visit the wizard Merlin, or rather enter his house, because the second piece of the treasure map is lying carelessly on the floor in front of his desk.
For the third and last piece of the treasure map, travel to the Glade of Trust and head north until you reach the lake with the waterfall. As soon as you reach the shore, you'll already see the glittering sparks that mark the location of the find.
With all three pieces of the map, go back to Scrooge. Talk to him and you will have completed the first part of the treasure hunt.
For the second part of the quest "The Treasure Hunt" in Disney Dreamlight Valley you have to continue your friendship with Scrooge McDuck, more precisely to level 10. Once you have reached this level the duck will send you to Merlin so that the wizard can decipher the treasure map for him. After you get the map back from Merlin, you have to open it to summon another memory. In this memory you will see the treasure map. This time there are three red X symbols on it. In these places are hidden key parts and the treasure chest itself.
However, for the further search it is not enough to just go to the marked places and dig. You need the Glasses of Shadows to find the key pieces and the chest. You can get them by talking to Scrooge again. When you go to the three locations on the map and have equipped the glasses, you will see the glittering sparks there again, which will show you the exact place where you need to dig.

For the first part of the Chest Key, you'll have to go back to the Glade of Trust, all the way down to the right in the southeast of the area.
Next, you'll have to go to the Forest of Valor to get the second key part in its south.
Before you set out to retrieve the treasure chest as well, you should first collect all the other materials you will need at the end of the quest to make the key for the chest. Once you return to Scrooge with all the pieces, he'll ask you to assemble the key with a little gold. Although the stingy old miser would have more than enough gold himself, the task remains for you to make two gold bars on a working bench. For this you need a total of 4 x coal ore and 20 x gold nuggets, which you can only find at mineral deposits in the Sunlit Plateau, the Frosty Heights or the Forgotten Land.
Once you have everything together, you can go to the very northeastern corner of the Frosty Heights and recover the treasure chest. Take all the loot to Scrooge, make the key and give it to the duck.
With this, the quest "The Treasure Hunt" in Disney Dreamlight Valley is completed and you may find it hard to believe: Scrooge McDuck will give you a share of the treasure in the amount of 2.000 gold coins.
