To free Prince Eric in Disney Dreamlight Valley and return him to Ariel in the village, complete the quest “A Deal with Ursula”. We'll tell you what you need to do.
How to get the quest: You can start the quest “A Deal with Ursula” by reaching friendship level 10 with Ursula and unlocking all the biomes in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Talk to Ursula to start the quest, whereupon you should retrieve the Dark Crystal from the Ruins in the Forgotten Land and bring it to her. The ruins are located, if you look at the map, to the upper right of the small pond, in the back of the Forgotten Land.
Once you get there, you'll see the dark crystal glowing placed on a pillar. Collect it and bring it back to Ursula.
Since each of the four pillars needs a crystal to work, your next task is to find the three missing crystals, which are located in the village.
You will find one of the crystals in the frosted heights. It's right next to the river, next to the stone passage, on the right half of the biome.
On the sunlit plateau, you can find another crystal. To find it, you need to go to the pond of this biome, where you will find the next crystal just past the signpost that leads to the forgotten Lands.
You will find the last crystal in the Glade of Trust, to the right of the entrance to Mother Gothel's House, in the Great Willow.
Once you have found and collected all the crystals, you need to go back to the ruins in the Forgotten Lands. You now position each crystal on a pillar by interacting with it and dragging a crystal from your inventory to the pillar's inventory.
After all the crystals are placed on a pillar, the magic crystal that stands in the middle of the ruins will appear. Collect it and bring it to Ursula to seal the deal.
Once you have given Ursula the crystal, she will release Prince Eric, but he is a kind of worm or withered plant. This will open Prince Eric's first quest to make him human again.
