With the fourth update of Disney Dreamlight Valley, in addition to new quests and characters, a very cool and especially useful feature has been introduced: surfing.
Previously, Disney’s Dreamlight Valley gave you the option to travel from one biome to another using the quick travel function. Within the biomes, you then either advanced very slowly on foot or, as long as you had enough energy, you could also run fast. The fourth update introduced surfing, or gliding, which more or less replaces running. You not only can move faster with it, but it also looks really cool.
How to Surf through Dreamlight Valley
Surfing is easy and doesn’t require much preparation or a specific item. The only thing you need is food or a dish that has at least one star. When you eat such a dish, your blue energy bar, located in the upper left corner of the screen, will be overlaid by a second bar in yellow color. This yellow bar indicates your surfing energy.
If this yellow bar is not empty, you can use the surf function to move faster. With the yellow bar, the “run” command will appear at the bottom left of your screen. For PlayStation players, for example, the circle key is still displayed. If you hold this button down, you start surfing.
As soon as you release the key, the surfing stops.
