Have you ever wished to explore all the common rooms in Hogwarts Legacy? Resourceful players have discovered a glitch that lets you easily get into any of the four common rooms, no matter which house you belong to.
Normally, students at Hogwarts are not allowed to be in the common rooms of other houses. Therefore, in Hogwarts Legacy there is no way (provided by the developers) to enter the common rooms of the other houses. For example, if you try to enter the Hufflepuff students’ room as a Slytherin, you will be splashed from top to bottom and denied entry. With this glitch, however, you can bypass the official entrances and quickly and easily visit any of the four common rooms. We will show you how it works.
How the Common Room Glitch works in Hogwarts Legacy
The only requirement to use the glitch is that you have unlocked your broom. From this point on, you can visit all four common rooms at any time. No matter which of the four houses you want to go to, the starting point is always the same. Travel with the Floo Flames to the Flame “Transformation Courtyard”. Once there, you have to go through the gate to your right into a corridor and immediately turn right again.
The starting point is then on the left side, more precisely, in the lower right corner of the window. Just jump exactly on the spot marked in the picture, and you will fall out of the map of Hogwarts Legacy.
As soon as this happens, you need to equip your broom immediately. You will then find yourself below the map on your broom. From here, you can now fly to all four common rooms from below. The way is always different.

The Way to the Huffepuff Common Room
- Mark (as soon as you have fallen out of the map and equipped your broom) the Floo Flame “Great Hall” on your map.
- Fly directly to this Floo Flame, but stay low enough below it.
- Fly from here to the rocks marked below and get off your broom there, and you’ll land directly in the Hufflepuff common room.
Attention: For this glitch, you need very good flying skills. If you accidentally fly through rocks, walls or water, you may glitch back into the map but land in the wrong place, so you must start over again.
The Way to the Ravenclaw Common Room
- Mark the Floo Flame “Ravenclaw Tower” on your map.
- Fly towards the marked Floo Flame until you see the large hall above you again.
- Turn around until you see the bridge on your right.
- From this point, you can see the Ravenclaw-Tower ahead of you on your left. Fly into the tower from below and keep going until you see two pictures of the Ravenclaw-Eagle on the wall.
- The point to dismount is to the right of the right of the two pictures, a few meters from the tower wall (see screenshot). The exact spot is a bit tricky to hit, but will take you directly to the Ravenclaw common room.
The Way to the Slytherin Common Room
- Once you’ve jumped out of the map, orient yourself and look towards the greenhouse.
- Fly towards it for a few meters and then turn right (make sure you are low enough).
- In front of you, you will see two big rocks. Fly between them and behind them to the left until you reach a rock platform.
- Get off your broom on the platform and you will find yourself in the Slytherin common room.
The Way to the Gryffindor Common Room
- Mark the Floo Flame “Great Hall” on your map.
- Fly low enough to get under the Great Hall, then climb back up until the Great Hall extends around you.
- Now mark the Floo Flame “Faculty Tower”.
- Fly back a few meters and then turn left towards the marked Floo Flame.
- Fly past the Flame on the right (inside the walls) and turn right at the edge of the wall.
- Above you, you can already see the fat lady hovering in the air.
- Fly right past her and keep going straight until you see a glowing square in the air.
- Dismount here, and you will land in the Gryffindor common room.
Note: As this is a glitch that was not intended by the developers, it is possible that it will be fixed in a future patch. Then it will no longer be possible to visit the other common rooms this way.
