With the recent 4.1 patch, there are many new treasures across the game world, but Fontaine Luxurious Chests are by far the best of them all. Compared to others, they are a minority, but each chest contains a lot of useful and rare loot. In this guide, we will show you how to find all Fontaine Luxurious Chests in Genshin Impact 4.1.
It took us quite a while to explore the area and find the location of each chest. So, now you can check out the instructions below to save your time and find all the chests, as well as get cool treasures!
So, in general, we found plenty of chests, and you can't just walk up to each one and open it right away. You'll need to spend a little bit of time completing some quests or meet certain conditions to get some of them. We will tell you more about each chest and how to find it below.
You can access the first two chests during the Road to the Singularity quest. That quest is a linear path with various puzzles and enemies, so you'll have to complete it to the end. After doing so, you will encounter the final boss, which will initiate the spawn of Fontaine Luxurious Chest.
The other chest will be in the same area as the boss, but there's a problem, a metal cage prevents you from getting it. To open it, you will need to get 7 Concentrating Components. The first 2 you will get from the enemies you kill during the quest, and the other 5 from the bosses you can meet in the game world.
The next chest doesn't require much effort because all you need to do is climb a mountain. The place you have to find is the peak to the north of the New Fontaine Research Institute. Just follow the plain upwards, keeping to the right side, and you will quickly find the required area.
The fourth chest is located under a waterfall near the Central Laboratory Ruins. Just go there and jump under the waterfall to get to the water area behind it. Next, just swim straight ahead to find and complete the puzzle and open the door behind which is the Fontaine Luxurious Chest.
The fifth chest will become available to you when you complete all the challenges to destroy Pufferfruit in the Liffey region. Pay attention to the screenshot above, that's where the required location with the challenges is located. When you complete them all, the chest will automatically appear on the platform.
The following chests will be much harder to get because you will need to complete a rather complicated task. You'll need to access Bravais' Secret Study by opening the door with the Arkhium Lumenite. To get this item, you'll have to search for 7 mysterious ores and then use the forge to create it. While searching for the necessary ores, you will find the first 2 chests. When you get the item and enter Bravais' Secret Study, collect all the available loot and climb one of the walls to get to the area behind the barrier. In this room, you will find the third Luxurious Chest, which you can loot.
The ninth chest is located on the head of a huge prototype robot (location shown in the screenshot above). You'll need to find 3 Spur Gears of different types to trigger the mechanism and get to the top. All the parts are located in different parts of the map, so you'll have to look for them. When you do, and you get to the top, then open the chest.
The next chest is in the Fortress of Meropide. You will need to enter it and go down below to find the Gear Drivetrain Puzzle. After spending a few minutes solving the puzzle, you will open the door and see the Fontaine Luxurious Chest behind it.
The next chest is behind a barrier found near one of the mountains (see screenshot above). Here, you'll need to deactivate the barrier by interacting with the totem and a strange plant.
Fortunately, it's not hard to find them, just explore the surrounding area. The screenshot above shows what each of these things looks like. After attacking them, you'll notice a spirit entering the barrier, after which it will deactivate and you can approach the chest.
You will get access to one of the last chests during the quest In Search of Lost Time. When you're chasing down the Fatui Commander, you'll have Broglie with you to open the gate to the central processing station. In this building, you can get the Fontaine Luxurious Chest.
The last two chests can be found in Shrines of Depth. The locations of both shrines are shown in the screenshots above. For them, you will need Shrine of Depths Keys, which you can get during your adventures by leveling up Statue of The Seven. Once you have the necessary keys, you can open the gates and loot the chests.
