In this guide, you will learn how to solve the Luxurious Chest Gear Drivetrain puzzle in Genshin Impact. The puzzle involves matching the pointers on the gears and is much harder than it looks.
Some rooms in the Drivetrain are quite easy to get to, as you just have to turn the big gear in their direction. But figuring out how to get to the Luxurious Chest was more difficult, so we spent about twenty minutes on it. But now we have everything solved and are happy to share the solution with you!
When you get to the Gear Drivetrain, it immediately becomes clear that you will have to solve puzzles. Using the Core Gear Drive (the large central gear) and the Drivetrains (the additional smaller ones), you'll need to open your way to each of the four rooms. Initially, there will only be one small gear, so you'll need to find another one. To achieve this, you need to open the Energy Storage Warehouse.
This room is located to the west, and you have to turn the bright yellow pointer of the large gear towards it. You must run the operator device and press Stop when the pointer is turned towards the Energy Storage Warehouse. Go there and take another Drivetrain.
The Luxurious Chest is located in the same direction as the Energy Storage Warehouse. But to access it, you have to turn the gears as shown in the screenshot below:
So you need the big gear pointing towards the room and the small gears pointing in the opposite direction. Here's what you need to do:
Take the removable gear and go to the energy storage. Put the gear back where you took it and let the mechanism run. Wait for the gear to point towards the chest and stop it. Step inside and collect your reward!
