As mentioned above, Mushrooms can be obtained in two ways, and in both cases, it's very easy to do so, making them a great early-game consumable.
The first and hardest method is to find mushrooms manually. Usually, they spawn in groups all over the world, but sometimes it's hard to spot them. If you're lucky enough to find them, it's really cool because it can save you in extreme situations when you and your team are left without food.
A faster and easier way is to search for Pals that drop this consumable. Not all Pals drop Mushrooms, but there are still a few that you can focus on finding:
Among them, we recommend choosing Tanzee for hunting, as this Pal is the easiest to find. In the screenshot above, you can see its spawning spots, so no matter which starting location you choose, you will definitely encounter it. Usually, Tanzee is not of high levels, so you can kill it even with your bare hands. If you prefer a more pacifistic method, then try to catch it with Pal Spheres. Sooner or later, you will definitely get Mushrooms as a result of the hunt.
As mentioned above, Mushrooms are a consumable. You can use it to eat and restore your hunger. It can be eaten raw, which will give you less satiety, or cooked to fill your hunger scale for more.
You can use the Campfire or Cooking Pot to cook Mushrooms. If you've progressed enough to unlock the Cooking Pot, we recommend using it for cooking, as you can prepare more meals with it:

In fact, it's quite surprising that Mushrooms are not used to make medicines. Given how often Pals get sick, you need a lot of medicine every time, so a few recipes with Mushrooms wouldn't be out of place given their availability. For now, these are all the methods of using this consumable, but perhaps something will change after the full release.
