Alicia Clark, one of the main characters in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead, was bitten by a zombie in season 7. Fans weren't sure at first what this means for Alicia now, but AMC gives a clear indication that she is immune.

Alicia Clark is Immune, AMC Confirms

To understand what Alicia Clark is all about, let's go through the events of season 7 that led to this situation. So if you haven't seen the season yet, we're issuing a spoiler warning here!

Here's how the bite happened: In the episode "Padre" there are flashbacks of Alicia Clark again and again, in which some events are explained. This includes the situation in which she and Will take the infected Vazquez to a sewage tunnel, but a bomb causes the tunnel to collapse, separating Will and Alicia. She calls his name, but only attracts Vazquez, who bites her arm. To stop the infection, she cuts off her own arm and Will has to promise to finish her off if she turns.

As the episodes continue, Alicia suffers from hallucinations and fever, typical signs of an infection. She thought she was going to transform, but it was never quite sure if it wasn't just figments of her imagination that were plaguing her. Officially, she hasn't turned yet.

This is the current situation: in the most recent episode, Alicia is left behind while her friends travel on a raft into the unknown. Alicia voluntarily stayed behind, afraid of becoming a zombie on the high seas. She lost consciousness shortly thereafter.

AMC Hints at Immunity

In a recap of the episode, AMC gives details about Alicia Clark, and they are fascinating:

Fear the Walking Dead Alicia Charakter Recap

"After our heroes set out on rafts for parts unknown, Alicia stayed behind in fear of dying and reanimating as a walker while at sea. However, after passing out, she woke up fully healed from her infection and set off into her new future alone."

So AMC confirms; Alicia Clark is completely cured, which speaks for an immunity of the zombie infection. However, AMC does not reveal whether this was because she cut off her arm quickly enough to prevent the infection from spreading ultimately or whether she is 100% immune. However, Alicia is no longer part of the group, and whether we will see her again is unknown.
