This is what’s going on: Rumors have been piling up for a few days that Studio Wildcard might announce ARK 2 at this year’s Game Awards show. Now it seems that all assumptions have been exceeded.
Studio Wildcard not only announced the second part of the popular dino survival game on early morning of Friday (UTC+1), but also released the trailer for ARK: The Animated Series at the same time. The extremely high-caliber cast shows that this will not just be a simple cartoon spin-off of a video game.

ARK: The Animated Series – Prequel from Helena’s point of view
This is Helena’s story: Helena was the first person in ARK and studied the biology of animals. For example, all the dinosaur dossiers you’ll find in ARK: Survival Evolved come from her. Together with other researchers, she tried to find a way out of the ARK and eventually reached another level of consciousness. Most people know Helena from the current Genesis addon through the drone HLN-A, which was programmed by Helena and contains her character.
