While computer gamers have already been enjoying Baldur’s Gate 3 for weeks, PlayStation 5 owners still have to wait until they can finally start the preload.
Here’s the deal: As is known from most games, Baldur’s Gate 3 is not released for all platforms at the same time. While the role-playing game has already been playable for PC players since August 3rd of this year, PlayStation owners still have to be patient.
The RPG hit will not officially launch on the console until September 6. We’ll tell you when you can start the preload and what Early Access looks like for owners of the Deluxe Edition.
Preload Of Baldur’s Gate 3 For PlayStation 5
When you can pull Baldur’s Gate 3 onto your PS5 depends on which edition of the game you own. If you are one of the lucky owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition, the download of the game files will be available for you from August 31, 12:00 EST.
The download includes all patches and hotfixes that have been released so far. This was announced by the developer on the Baldur’s Gate 3 Twitter account. You will be able to play the Deluxe Edition two days later, on September 2nd, also starting at 12:00.
If you have the Standard Edition of the game, the preload will start on September 4, 12:00. Baldur’s Gate 3 will then be playable for you from September 6, also at 12:00. Of course, all patches and hotifxes are included in the standard version as well.
