Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) is set to release in a few months, but already, it's confirmed: Another installment is on its way — a Modern Warfare 4 is probably on its way.
What's the buzz? The gaming world is eagerly anticipating the upcoming launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023). In an interview with the Washington Post, the developers have revealed that a sequel will come. So a game with the potential name of Modern Warfare 4 and even 5 are in the planning.
The game's story director disclosed during the interview that the narrative revolving around characters like Price, Ghost, Farah, and others will not conclude with Modern Warfare 3. The interviewee stated:
The original Modern Warfare trilogy ended with the third game. However, Bloom mentioned that the story of the reimagined trilogy will extend beyond Modern Warfare 3 in 2023, with more character arcs planned for long-term stories in future games, building upon the newly established story plots:
(…) to tell stories, and that won't stop. I'd even say we're just getting started.
In the first Modern Warfare trilogy (2007 to 2011), the storyline reached its conclusion as the heroes took down Makarov and were able to halt the third World War. In the Modern Warfare reboot series, MW3 aims to prevent this war and stop Makarov.
As for what might unfold in a potential Modern Warfare 4 or Modern Warfare 5, that remains to be seen. At least, the developers state that they have no intention of stopping. They are just beginning to explore all the exciting tales surrounding TaskForce 141 and others:
This news should delight Call of Duty fans worldwide. Characters like Ghost have long become legends in gaming history, impressing with their depth of character and coolness alike.
When does MW3 release? The game officially launches on November 10, 2023. Pre-order customers get the privilege of experiencing the story campaign a week in advance. To stay in the loop, follow us on social media or join our Discord server. You can find all the links via Linktr.ee.
