Many players are already waiting for the release date of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s third major update, which will also bring a new star path. But when is the update release date, and what do we know already?
About: On January 25, 2023, Disney Dreamlight Valley published on their Twitter account, as well as on their website, the roadmap of the planned updates for the first half of 2023. Including some hints, but also already confirmed content that we can look forward to this early this year. However, the release date has been missing – until now!
Update as of February 6, 6:00 p.m CET: The update will not be released on February 6 after all, as initially thought, the developers only teased an announcement. With this announcement, however, they confirm that the update will be released on February 16 and bring both Maribel and Olaf as new characters.

If you look closely, you will discover many hints about what else the update will offer. Fans are especially looking forward to the glowing blue sign in the background, which obviously belongs to Atlantis. The official patch notes should follow in the next few days; then we’ll know more.

Release of the Disney Dreamlight Valley February Update
In a post, which was supported by emojis, Disney Dreamlight Valley published via their Twitter account a short notice around 06:00 pm CET the following tweet:

The official day of the third update is February 06, 2023. A time has not been announced yet, but the last updates came online at 03:00 pm CET, sometimes 2 hours later in case of massive downloads.
We’ll explain the meaning of the emojis used below the inserted Twitter post.

The Message of the Tweet and Emoji Meaning
That the release date will be February 6, 2023, is thus confirmed. But what do the emojis mean that are written before the date?
- Calendar: The calendar stands for the release day.
- Snowman: Even though he was already mentioned in the roadmap and was well teased by his arm, the snowman also confirms here that we can look forward to Olaf from Frozen.
- 100: The hundred stands for the 100th birthday, which Disney is celebrating this year.
- House: With Maribel, a new resident is moving into the Valley, whose house you’ll have to set up for this, of course. Due to the Twitter post of a golden doorknob, we assume that it has to be found, just like the socks you had to look for to be able to bring Stitch to the village.

- Rabbit: The Rabbit refers to the new animal companion you’ll get through the Star Path. Complete the path’s special tasks to get its currency, which you can then spend on special content.

What else can you expect?
In the last updates, the Halloween update of Scar and the Christmas update with Stitch, Woody, and Buzz, there were special decorations each time that you received when you completed the special event quests.
So we have these puzzle-related quests to look forward to. In addition, we expect new character quests from the new residents, including their friendship rewards, which range from clothes to decorations and furniture to patterns you can use to design your own clothes.
