The predecessor to the critically acclaimed NieR: Automata, NieR: Replicant is getting a remake. The first gameplay was shown at this year's The Game Awards Show.
This is the gameplay: In the gameplay, we see the open game world, the protagonist in action and the very fast-paced battles. But also various enemies and big bosses.
This is NieR: Replicant: NieR: Replicant is an action role-playing game and was developed in 2010 by Yoko Taro and published by Square Enix.
You control the character Nier through a mostly open game world. You'll be able to use different melee weapons and magic skills to engage the enemies present in the game world. As the game progresses, you'll be able to expand and improve these abilities. The battles are very action-heavy and take place in real-time, directly in the game world.
The story of Nier has several twists and turns - not least because of the four possible "endings" A, B, C and D - and awaits new revelations after each major plot advancement.
NieR: Replicant was known worldwide as an insider tip. Only the sequel, NieR: Automata, made it to worldwide success and was highly praised, especially because of the story, the fluid gameplay and the beautiful soundtrack. The first part is now getting a remake to give new players the chance to experience NieR's story from the beginning.
We can't wait to get our hands on the remake ourselves. What about you, are you excited to see what twists and turns await you in the game?
