The remake of Resident Evil 4 will be distributed by Capcom in three editions, with the Deluxe Edition including “special outfits” for Ashley and Leon, among other things. The latter have now been visually revealed, and “special” truly describes what these outfits look like.
Here’s the deal: If you once again have too much money in your bank account this month, you could invest up to 250 US$ in Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 4. That’s how much the Collector’s Edition of the survival horror adventure costs; it comes in a supposedly ironclad supply crate.
Buyers of the Deluxe Edition can increase Capcom’s sales by 70 (Steam) or 80 US$ (PlayStation Store). In return, they get the base game as well as the “Extra DLC Pack” with, among other things, special virtual costumes for the two main characters. You can find out what these look like a bit further down. You might want to put on your sunglasses first, though.
Extra DLC Pack With Truly Special Costumes
By default, Resident Evil icon Leon S. Kennedy and the president’s daughter Ashley Graham look like humans. But that changes when you let Capcom’s Extra DLC Pack dress up the protagonist duo. Joking aside: it doesn’t get quite that bad. On the other hand, the special outfits in question don’t bear this name without reason; you may want to take a look at the picture below.

Well. So there we have Renaissance-oriented “romance” outfits with frills and (at least in the picture) matching character poses, and once completely “casual” casual clothes. It is currently unclear whether the DLC clothes can be used as a weapon. However, we’d be surprised if Ashley’s casual outfit won’t leave a lasting impression on the villagers.
What else is in the Extra DLC Pack? Besides the fancy clothes, the digital add-on pack also includes:
- Outfit for Leon and Filter: “Hero”
- Outfit for Leon and Filter: “Rogue”
- Accessory for Leon: “Sunglasses” (sporty)
- Deluxe weapon: “Sentinel Nine” (pistol)
- Deluxe weapon: “Skull Shaker” (shotgun)
- Treasure map: Expansion
- Soundtrack swap: “Original version”
And what’s in the Collector’s Edition? Of course, buyers of the Collector’s Edition will also get access to the Extra DLC Pack. Apart from that, the silver supply box aka Collector’s Box contains:
- Steelbook + Base Game
- Digital soundtrack
- Leon S. Kennedy figure (dimensions are unknown)
- Physical artbook
- Physical special map
The DLC pack will be downloadable just like the game itself starting March 24th, 2023. Confirmed release platforms include PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox series consoles.
