How to Solve Mother Crow Sits in Her Nest Puzzle in Alan Wake 2
You can solve the Mother Crow Sits in Her Nest puzzle by placing the dolls, which you received by completing previous riddles, on some kind of ritual stone in the Private Cabin, a location in the Cauldron Lake area. To find this spot, you will need to travel to the east of the crow riddle and the south of the hero and wolf riddle, to the point shown on the map below.
When you reach this location, you will need to go around the house, where you will see chalk-painted stones with a note containing the following rhyme:
“A mother crow sits in her nest
Guarding her babies, doing her best
To protect her home from the Beast coming to feast
But only a Hero brave of heart can keep the two apart.”
To solve the riddle, you will need to interact with the note on the ground. The idea of the puzzle is to find parallels between the rhyme on the letter and the drawings on the stones. For example, the words “mother-crow” and “guarding her babies” obviously mean that a Crow doll should be placed on the cracked egg symbol. The same is true for the other two symbols: the Hero doll should be placed on the heart symbol because of the words “hero brave of heart” and the Wolf doll on the picture of the house because of the words “protect her home from the Beast”.
As you place all the dolls in the correct order, a black trail will appear in front of you, leading them to a reward. Follow this path, and you will come across a red model house near the Witch’s Hut. Next to this hut, you can receive a reward for completing the third and final Saga puzzle in the Cauldron Lake area, namely the Kalevala Knights motorcycle charm. With this accessory, you will get an increase in the area and duration of flares, which is a useful upgrade for their flare gun.
