In the Rhyniognatha dossier, it is described as an omnivore, meaning it eats everything, and its temperament is described as aggressive. So, you can expect this insect copter to attack you directly upon sight, especially because you're on the menu for Rhyniognatha.
The Rhyniognatha is a giant beetle that makes helicopter-like sounds when flying. Additionally, this massive insect is extremely aggressive. Being an omnivore, absolutely everything and everyone is on its menu. In the dossier, we also learn that Rhyniognatha can thicken its shell to enhance its defense. Furthermore, Rhyniognatha can fire various projectiles at its enemies, making it a skilled ranged combatant.
You can modify the glue of Rhyniognatha using the Arthropluera enzyme so that it can destroy TEK armor and weapons. You can obtain the enzyme by defeating an Arthropluera. Additionally, you can use Rhyniognatha to pick up and carry materials or even other creatures. In the trailer, we also see that Rhyniognatha can dive or at least stay underwater for a short time.
To tame a Rhyniognatha in ARK (Evolved & Ascended), you need the pheromones of a male specimen. To obtain the pheromone, you must kill a male and loot the item. Then, you look for a female Rhynio and inflict damage until you can stun her. Activate the male pheromone in the Rhyniognatha's inventory—similar to how it's done with the Reaper Queen. Then, you must wait in the vicinity of the Rhyniognatha until the timer displayed in the inventory expires. Congratulations, you now have your own Rhyniognatha in ARK.
Attention: The creature that serves as the host for the larva will be destroyed upon the birth of the Rhyniognatha! If you have fertilized the wrong creature, you can only save it in a cryopod, as the larva will freeze. This process may also work in a very cold area.
That's everything you need to know about Rhyniognatha in ARK, even though this beetle has just been added to ARK, it will also appear in Ascended, set to release in August. Chat with us and other players on our Discord server. We're looking forward to seeing you!
