The Phantom Liberty DLC introduced many innovations to all aspects of the game, one of which is shooting from vehicles using weapons mounted in them. To help you figure out how it works, we've prepared a guide on how to get and use weaponized cars in Cyberpunk 2077.
Finishing the game a few times, we have always felt that the potential of vehicles has not been fully realized and that it can be made more fun in the cyberpunk setting. So when we installed the update, the first thing we did was testing weaponized vehicles. We've spent a few hours and learned everything about it, so to save you time, we have everything listed below.
You will have the opportunity to get your first weaponized vehicle during the I'm In Love With My Car quest. It will start when you arrive at the location shown below.
You will need to find the keys in the warehouse. We found them quickly in the rubbish and boxes near the car. There was a box where the keys were hidden.
Other weaponized cars, like regular ones, can be purchased on the Autofixer website. This can be done using a computer located in your flat or by finding an Autofixer terminal. Looking through the assortment, we saw that some cars, including weaponized ones, were not available to us. To unlock them, players need to increase their Street Cred level.
To achieve this, you need to complete the following missions:
As soon as you get into a weaponized car for the first time, a tooltip will appear explaining how to operate such a vehicle and its weapons. In case you missed it, here's how to control the mounted weapon:
By default, weapons will automatically aim at targets, but you can change this in the settings.
That was all you have to know about armed vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077. Finally, cars can not only be driven but also used as a turret, and it looks like a lot of fun!
And once you're done here, you can also check out our article on how to get the Bald Eagle in Cyberpunk 2077. Good luck!
