In the different biomes of Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can encounter various animals, such as Sunbirds. By feeding them their favorite food, you can become friends with them, which enables you to select them as companions. This guide will help you to befriend the Sunbirds.
What you will learn in this guide:
In the various biomes of Dreamlight Valley, you can encounter different types of animals that you can befriend. Befriending them allows you to choose one of these animals as your companion, who can accompany you everywhere. For the animals you haven't chosen as companions, you can build huts specifically for them, allowing them to roam freely in your Valley.
You'll find Sunbirds on the Sunlit Plateau, where they come in various colors. The following schedule indicates when you can find each Sunbird:
To feed Sunbirds, head to the Sunlit Plateau and search for one. Once you've spotted a Sunbird in flight, stand nearby and wait for it to come closer. Then, face it and press the action button when it is displayed to open your inventory. Choose the food, preferably the Sunbird's favorite, and feed it. With some luck, you may even receive an item from them afterward.
To quickly befriend the small birds, it's best to know their favorite food. However, this can be a bit challenging because each Sunbird has its own favorite meal. We will now show you the favorite foods of each Sunbird and additionally inform you where you can find them.
Author's Note: If you do not have access to all biomes yet, you can offer the Sunbirds any flower. I have not yet experienced a Sunbird rejecting a specific flower. Keep in mind that the process of befriending works fastest when using their favorite food. |
The Orchid Sunbird is the most challenging one to befriend due to its rare appearance during the week. Its favorite food is the Orange Houseleek, which you can find on the Sunlit Plateau. You can see what this flower looks like in the attached image.
You can quickly build a friendship with the Golden Sunbird by offering it its favorite food, a Sunflower, which you can find and pick at the Dazzling Beach. If you need assistance in recognizing a sunflower in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can find an image of it, as well as an image of the Golden Sunbird, below this paragraph.
The food that makes the Red Sunbird particularly happy is the Red Bromeliad, which is the bird's favorite food. You can find it on the Sunlit Plateau, just like the Sunbirds themselves. Below, we've included images to help you quickly locate both the Sunbird and the Red Bromeliad
To befriend the Emerald Sunbird, you need to venture into the Frosted Heights, as that's the only place where you can find the Green Passion Lily, which brings the most joy to this small bird. Below, you can see images of what the Emerald Sunbird and the Green Passion Lily look like.
You can befriend the Turquoise Sunbird by feeding it the Pink Houseleek, a large flower that also grows on the Sunlit Plateau. Just like with the other Sunbirds and their favorite foods, you can now view images of the Pink Houseleek and the Turquoise Sunbird in our pictures.
