Recipe and Ingredients of the Butter Chicken in Dreamlight Valley

For the 5-star main course, the Butter Chicken recipe, you need to buy, collect, and harvest the following ingredients:

  • Poultry
  • Tomato
  • Butter
  • Lemon
  • Cumin

How to Get All Ingredients:

Poultry: You can buy poultry at Gaston's stand, which you can find in The Wastes in the Glittering Dunes.  It can be bought and sold for 500 coins each. Eating poultry will regenerate your energy by 250.

Tomato: You can buy tomato seeds or tomatoes at Goofy’s stand on the Dazzle Beach in the main game. In the “A Rift in Time” DLC, you can purchase tomato seeds at Goofy’s stand in the Wild Tangle. Tomato seeds cost 8 coins and take 25 minutes to grow before you can harvest them. The harvested tomatoes can be sold for 22 coins each. If you eat them, you restore your energy with 21 energy.

Butter: Butter is exclusively sold for 190 coins at Remy's shop, located inside his restaurant. You can use the restaurant in both the main game and the 'A Rift in Time' add-on after you build it.

Lemon: Lemons grow on trees in the Glade of Trust, where you can easily pick them. They regrow after 27 minutes. One lemon has a coin value of 33 and provides +400 energy.

Cumin: Cumin grows on the Eternity Isle in the Ancient's Landing, where you can simply pick it up like all spices. When you sell cumin, you receive 15 coins per piece, and if you eat it, you restore your energy by 90.

Author's Tip: Plant the vegetable seeds where you bought them to reduce the growing time and improve quality. With the help of the ancient gardener, you have no work and can relax while harvesting the finished plants.

Cooking to Improve the Friendship Level

Each resident has three favorite gifts that change daily and help you reach the next friendship level faster. Often, these gifts include some dishes that you can prepare easily.

Additionally, you can also cook 5-star dishes, and give them as a present to a villager, as they also increase the friendship level significantly. Once you have unlocked Remy's Restaurant, you can collect additional friendship points by serving the residents the dishes they ordered.

Cooking to Regenerate Your Energy

By eating dishes, you can quickly regenerate your energy, that you've used while performing various activities in Dreamlight Valley. Additionally, you can also gain extra energy, which is displayed in the energy bar in gold. This extra energy allows you to surf to move faster through the Valley.

Cooking to Earn Extra Coins

If you need some coins, you can sell the dishes you've prepared at Goofy's stands, which you can find in each biome. The price for each dish depends on the ingredients used and the ingredient's quantity. That's why dishes with fewer ingredients may be more profitable than those made from more ingredients.

Cooking to Feed and Befriend Animals

To befriend the animals in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to offer them their favorite food. Most of the animals are happy with simple raw ingredients like fish, vegetables, or fruit. However, some animals exclusively demand prepared dishes and won't accept anything else. For instance, the ravens in the Forgotten Lands only want to eat 5-star dishes, and the monkeys in the Ancient's Landing require banana-based dishes with at least 3 stars.

Cooking to Complete Quests and Star Path Tasks

If you intend to complete certain quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you may need to prepare special dishes. Usually, you receive needed recipes from the resident who gave you the quest.

The tasks of the Star Paths, on the other hand, mention specific dishes occasionally, along with the quantity you have to eat or cook them. They also prescribe the number of dishes that have to be cooked and the required quantity of stars, but they do not specify a particular dish.
