With the “A Prince in Disguise” quest that you receive from the Beast in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can bring Belle and the Beast to your Valley. We’ll show you step by step how to master this quest and welcome the new residents to your village.
What this quest is about: The Beast wants to apologize to Belle and asks for your help. You’ll also help Belle set up the Beast’s castle in the village so that both of them can return to the village.
Start the Quest and Find the Three Key Pieces
After completing Belle’s “Into the West Wing” quest, you can talk to the Beast to start his “A Prince in Disguise” quest, in which the Beast wants to apologize to Belle with a gift. To find out what Belle would like, the Beast would like to use the enchanted mirror, that he used to observe the outside world. This mirror is locked in a box. The key of which has been broken into three pieces by the beast. The pieces were then hidden by Lumiere. Follow Lumiere’s clues to find the key pieces.
Hint 1: Hidden in a hot place.
- Go to the library and use your watering can to put out the fire in the fireplace. The key piece will then appear for you to collect it.
Hint 2: Hide in a place where silence roars.
- In front of the entrance door to the west wing are two lion statues. In the mane of the left lion is the key piece, which you get by destroying the statue with your pickaxe.
Hint 3: Hidden in a thorny place.
- In the middle of the garden of the castle, you can dig out the last key piece in the rose bed.
Take the key pieces to the Beast, who will reassemble the key from them. With the assembled key, you can now open the chest and give the mirror to the Beast. Together, you look into the mirror, where you see Belle among lots of loose and written paper, which are Belle’s stories. As a gift, you then decide on a set of books, including a quill for writing. You agree to craft the book set.
Help the Beast Apologize to Belle
Make the Book Set
You will now need the following materials for the book set:
- 20x Fibers
- 3x Purple beard thread
- 1x Empty vial
- The feather of a villager (ask Donald or Scrooge McDuck)
Once you have everything together, you can craft the book set on a workbench and then bring it back to the Beast.

Find the Care Products of the Beast
To be on his best behavior, you need to help the Beast find his grooming products:
- Beast’s brush
- Princely Perfume
- Princely Shampoo
You’ll find the Beast’s brush in a small chest, to the right of the entrance door.
The princely perfume can be found on the small table, next to the beast.
On the table next to the bathtub, you can find the princely shampoo.
Give the Beast his grooming products and then follow him to the garden to witness the apology from the Beast to Belle.
Bring Belle and the Beast to the village
Afterward, talk to Belle, who would like to come to the Valley, but needs a place to stay. Return to the Valley and put up the Beast’s castle, which you then have to build for 20000 coins by Scrooge McDuck. Then you can welcome Belle to the Valley.
Talk to Belle, who will give you a message to the Beast, encouraging him to come to the village as well. Deliver this to the Beast and then welcome him to the Valley as well.
