We'll show you all the Elden Ring endings, provide an explanation, and show you how to unlock them. As is typical for From Software, you will not be taken by the hand, which is why we step in now!
These are the endings: Only two of the six endings are very different from the rest. For the endings in which you become the Elden Lord alongside Marika, you must use one of the various mending runes to heal Marika's destroyed body at the end of the game. However, the "Lord of the Frenzied Flame" ending and the "Age of Stars" ending requires slightly more complicated and hidden quests. However, they all have one thing in common, the influence of the "Outer Gods" never leaves the lands between.
In general, for almost every end, you have to complete a quest line from a specific NPC. The quest lines for Fia, the Dungeater, Brother Corhyn, and Goldmask are quite short, while the quest line for Ranni the witch takes you much longer. The "Frenzied Flame" ending can be reached directly without major quests, but we recommend following Hyetta's quest line to get the raging flame from the three fingers afterward.
If you are on the hunt for the platinum trophy in Elden Ring, there is good news for you. You don't have to play through the game six times, as there is only a trophy for three of the endings. It doesn't matter which Elden Lord ending you choose, because each brings the trophy.
These are all known endings in Elden Ring:
The classic and arguably the easiest ending to reach. Here begins a new age under the reign of Marika with you as the Elden Lord. The Lands between will be restored to how they once were, just in a version marked by events.
You have to complete these quests & tasks:
Here you become an Elden Lord too, but in this ending, the Lands Between are shrouded in mist and the principle of life and death is part of the world again. As a result, immortality no longer exists in the Lands Between, and all beings experience the natural cycle of life and death.
As in the previous two endings, you also become the Elden Lord here. In this version, a new era begins for the Lands Between, where there are no more conflicts.
In this ending, you also become the Elden Lord, but this time your choice brings a curse to the Lands Between. This ensures that all Tainted can no longer return to the Earth Tree.
As the name already clearly shows here, you don't become an Elden Lord, but the Lord of the Frenzied Flame. Which gives you the task of burning the world, with all the failings of the "Greater Will" to unite everything and everyone in the flames.
You also become an Elden Lord in this ending, but not alongside Marika. Here, Ranni replaces Marika and appoints you as her Elden Lord. She also brings an end to the Golden Order and ends the influence of the "Greater Will" in the Lands Between. After that, she leaves the Lands Between with you to embark on a thousand-year journey, leaving it without a lord for the first time.
