Before you go in search of this rare resource, you will need to be well prepared. You can't just collect it from anywhere, like the Stone, but you'll need to partially progress through the game to create the necessary tools and protect yourself from the deadly red shroud.
First, you'll need to reach Flame level 3 to unlock your path and make the deadly red shroud a non-threat. To do this, you will need to partially progress in the game and find the necessary resources, but in general it will not take you very long.
When you're done with Flame, the next step is to create a tool that you'll use to mine Amber. In this case, it's a pickaxe, and luckily you can mine this resource with any of the existing ones. Here is the craft of the basic pickaxe:
So, once you've followed both of these steps, you can go in search of Amber veins.
The locations where you can find Amber.
There are few locations where Amber spawns, so it can take quite a while to find it manually. Don't worry because we've found a great location where several veins of this resource are located next to each other. They are located between Revelwood Ancient Spire and Bramblespine Boneyard, on the screenshot above you can see the exact location of each of them.
Thus, you can lay out a linear path from one vein to the other to collect all the Amber. If you've already collected all the Amber here but still need more, just relaunch the game. This way, all the veins will be respawned, and you will be able to collect this resource again. You can restart the game as many times as you like and go through this route over and over again to collect the required amount of Amber quickly and efficiently.
