Iron is one of the resources that you will need in the late game and it will be very useful for creating better armor, weapons, and structures. We have traveled to many locations searching for the best deposit of this resource, and now are ready to tell you how to get and use Iron in Enshrouded.
Content of the guide: Next, you will learn where to find the largest Iron deposits and what this resource is used for.
Here, you can see how Iron looks in the game.
As mentioned above, Iron is a late-game resource, so it will be quite difficult to obtain. Before you go looking for deposits, you will need to prepare to protect yourself from enemies, the deadly red shroud, and generally be able to dig Ore.
Let's start by confronting the dangers, the first of which is the deadly red shroud. Locations where you can find Iron Ore are very dangerous, and to dispel the deadly red shroud, you need to reach Flame level 5. This is quite difficult and may take a long time, as you will have to collect plenty of resources from different locations. However, you will definitely do it by simply progressing in the game.
The next obstacle will be the enemies that spawn in the locations where the Iron deposits are located. They are strong, and it will be challenging to survive there without the proper equipment. Take weapons, shields, and armor with you, or use magic to deal with them, that depends on your playstyle.
The last thing you should definitely bring is a pickaxe. The better the pickaxe, the faster you will mine Iron, and this is quite important because you will need to dig for ore and from time to time, fight off enemies. We recommend that you create the most effective pickaxe which recipe you have, do not neglect it, and then you will succeed.
Kindlewastes biome is the best location to farm this resource.
So when you're finally ready, your next stop is Kindlewastes biome. You can get there by using the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire, but be careful, there are a lot of lava and enemies, as we mentioned above. Next, look for deposits with a gray-brown hue and a strange relief, as if bubbles are growing out of the rock. Go up and mine them to get Iron Ore. The largest number of deposits of this resource is usually located near lakes with lava, so if you see one, be sure to explore the surrounding area more closely.
Once you've collected the desired amount of Iron Ore, you'll need to melt it down to get Iron Bars. It is Iron Bars that are used for various crafting and building purposes. To create Iron Bars, you will need to place the following resources in the Smelter:
Next, wait until the smelting is complete, and you will receive Iron Bars, which you can use for your own needs.
As mentioned above, Iron is used in many crafts and will be an indispensable resource in the late game. Here is a complete list of all recipes that require Iron:
