The yellowish Sulfur in Enshrouded is not only ideal for leveling up fast, but also for crafting the most powerful spell of all.
Highlights:
To find Sulfur, you need to head into the desert. It is teeming with dangerous creatures such as scorpions and dragons. Like many other resources, the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire is the perfect starting point for Sulfur. If you have an advanced glider, you can fly from here almost into the desert. This way you can avoid most enemy contacts. The quickest way to find Sulfur is south and southeast of the Umber Hollow, as our screenshots show.
Tip from our author: Mining Sulfur is ideal for levelling up your character. No matter which pickaxe you use, you will receive 1x Sulfur for every single strike into the deposit. And for every unit of Sulfur, you get ten experience points. Since you need a lot of this resource anyway, you can mine a little more and take one or two level-ups with you.
Your most urgent desire for Sulfur will probably stem from the desire to upgrade your flame to level six. However, in addition to the flame upgrade, you can also use the chemical element for numerous other things.
If you are playing a mage, Sulfur is a required resource to craft the Eternal Acid Bite from the alchemist Balthazar. This is the most powerful spell in the entire game. You also require Sulfur to build a grinder, which you need to grind bones or Wheat. Last but not least, Sulfur is required to produce the valuable Enshrouded Oil. You can use this oil (and other materials) to build huge magical chests at the carpenter.
