Life in the MMO Palia is bustling. While the beautiful world beckons for relaxation, there's always something for you to do. For instance, procuring buttons for Hekla, as required by the Friendship Mission “Item Procurement.”
In this guide to the Massively Multiplayer Online Community Sim game, we aim to reveal how you can obtain this task, what exactly you need to procure for the Galdur Jekla, and where you can ultimately find these items. Especially the buttons.
While Palia offers a robot named Einar with whom romance is possible, your relationship with the Galdur Hekla remains purely platonic. Nevertheless, you can still befriend her, leading to various friendship missions.
If you're wondering how on earth you can befriend other residents, the following article provides all the relevant answers: Gifts in Palia: What residents desire and how to Gift Them.
Follow our guide, and you'll discover what Hekla desires and how to make her happy. As your friendship level increases, you'll achieve the status of Academic Associate and receive a task from the female robot.
You'll learn that Hekla is slowly becoming desperate due to a lack of certain items. Your job is to address this issue by finding the objects Hekla describes. While two of them are easy to find, the buttons seemingly aren't.
The emphasis here is on “seemingly.” In reality, all three items are easily obtainable. However, the location of the buttons isn't as straightforward as procuring potatoes or fabric. But let's take it step by step.
Where can I find potatoes? For potatoes, you have two options. Either purchase them at the Family Farm for 180 gold apiece – a quick but pricier method – or grow them yourself, which takes 5 in-game days or 1 real-time minute.
Where can I find fabric? Fabric is obtained by processing cotton at a loom. You can get cotton for 180 gold at the farm or plant cotton seeds, which can be harvested after 5 in-game days.
Where can I find the buttons? This is the burning question that has puzzled many a player in Palia. At first glance, the mission description suggests that the buttons must be intricately crafted or found at a specific location.
In reality, acquiring these items is much simpler. Just visit the merchant Jel, who owns a Tailor Store in Kilima Village. Drop by and inquire about the buttons.
Fortunately, he won't expect anything in return. No elaborate quest, no requests, and most importantly, no gold. You'll receive the buttons just like that. With all the items in hand, return to Hekla to complete the mission.
Once you've completed this friendship mission in Palia, you can further enhance your friendship level with Hekla. At level 3, you awaken the ancient robot's desire for friendship, and by level 4, you become an unwavering ally.
Upon reaching level 3, you'll also receive the Friendship Mission “Potato Shrine,” and later, at level 4, the final quest of this kind: “For the Record.” As you can see, there's still much to do before becoming a friend of the Galdur.
As you embark on your quest for the required items, you'll also have the opportunity to delve deeper into Palia's culture and history. Every resident has their own story, and it's worth taking the time to learn more about their backgrounds and dreams.
In the picturesque world of Palia, not only are there tasks and missions, but also secrets and hidden spots waiting to be discovered. Every interaction, whether with an NPC or an item, can lead to a new discovery or unexpected adventure.
