After the 4.1 update, gamers got access to a line of quests called Unfinished Comedy, and most players want to complete them all as soon as possible. In the quest An Eye for an Eye, many players have a problem with the research terminal, which prevents them from completing the quest and getting out of Fortress of Meropide. In this guide, we will tell you how to get an energy storage device and unlock the research terminal in Genshin Impact.

When we did the quest, this subtask took a few minutes to complete. To complete the task as quickly as we did, follow the instructions below.

Genshin Impact: How to Get Energy Storage Device

As we mentioned above, this task will not take you much time. So, let's take a look at the Energy Storage Device first. In general, you will need to activate 3 Research Terminals to complete the task. Luckily, you will find an Energy Storage Device for each of them and you won't have to search for them for a long time or go back to the previous locations. They all will be at the beginning of the maze of colored crystals as soon as you enter the area.

It's worth noting that once you pick up the Energy Storage Device, you will have exactly 90 seconds to bring it to the terminal. So, before you do so, we recommend that you read this guide to the end to avoid getting lost in the maze.

Genshin Impact: How to Unlock Research Terminal

The area you will enter will contain a maze of crystals, but this is only at first glance. The fact is that some passages are blocked by an invisible barrier, but this is because there are Research Terminals behind them that you need to access. As we mentioned above, you will need to activate 3 Research Terminals and as soon as you activate the first one, some of the invisible barriers will disappear, opening the way to the next terminal. Thus, you will need to interact with the terminals in a certain sequence to activate them all and complete the task. So, let's see what steps you need to take to activate all the terminals:

• Research Terminal #1: Take the first Energy Storage Device and move forward and to the right. You'll have practically no other options, so you'll know where to go right away. Next, go straight ahead and to the left of the main path will be Mysterious Ore, this will be your landmark. Collect the ore and return to the main path, then turn right. This is where the first Research Terminal will be. Interact with it to activate it and return to the beginning.
• Research Terminal #2: The path will be even easier now that you've removed the barrier. Take the next Energy Storage Device and go ahead and turn left. You will immediately see the second terminal. Interact with it and return to the beginning.
• Research Terminal #3: The last terminal is located straight ahead and to the right of where you picked up the Energy Storage Device. Follow the indicated route to the end of the path and turn left at the last corner. There will be a third terminal behind a wall of crystals. Interact with it to activate it and complete the task.

Tip: As you walk around, you may notice flying spheres. Avoid it and don't try to interact because you will get hurt.
