To avoid spending a lot of time searching for the source of the problem, use the tips below because in most cases this is the reason for this bug:

  • Check your headset: In some cases, it's a headset issue that causes this problem. Carefully check that all cables are in place and not damaged. Also, make sure they show up in the system as plugged in and ready to go. Besides, make sure that your device is not connected to other devices, such as Bluetooth speakers or Bluetooth headphones, as sound can be transmitted there. If everything is working properly, and you still don't hear the sound, then you need to use more technical methods to solve the problem.
  • Check the system and sound drivers: Check if the system requires any updates. If so, download them and restart the device. In addition, do not forget to check the relevance of your sound drivers in the settings because there is a chance that they are outdated and that is why there is no sound.
  • Check the game settings and files: In addition to the above, enter the game itself and make sure that you have turned on the sound and selected the correct sound output device. Also, check if the game files are corrupted by opening the Steam library and going to the Properties menu. Another obstacle can be third-party programs that require sound input or output, so make sure there is nothing unnecessary.

Basically, these 3 recommendations should fix all the sound problems that may occur, and you can enjoy the game without any problems.

For Linux users, we have an additional solution to this problem based on the use of PulseAudio. So, all you need to do is create a file in your home directory named .asoundrc  and write the following strings there:

“   ctl.dmixer {

type pulse

}

pcm.pulse {

type pulse

}

ctl.pulse {

type pulse

}

pcm.!default {

type pulse

}

 ctl.!default {

type pulse

}

If you want to use Pipewire, just apply "Add -sdlaudiodriver pipewire".

After that, restart the device and check for sound.
