Talking about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, it can be handy for you to know your enemies to study their patterns of behavior and successfully resist them on the battlefield. We have played and observed a lot to tell you about all enemy types in MW3: Zombies.
Contents of the guide: In this guide, we will share information about all types of enemies you will encounter in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. This knowledge can improve your gameplay and give you more confidence on the battlefield.
Standard Zombies don't pose much of a threat on their own, but a crowd of them can be a problem for your squad. Any weapon will suit you to kill them, especially if you shoot them in the head.
The Lightly Armored Zombie is wrapped in barbed wire and wears a green helmet. He is just a slightly more tanky version of the normal zombie and you will find him in Zone 2 or in the Aether Storm.
Armored Zombies are very similar to standard ones, but as the name implies, they have armor and are more protected. To kill them easily, you should use more powerful weapons.
Crawlers are pretty nasty enemies because they crawl, their hitbox is much smaller, so it's harder to hit them, and they can sneak up on you. Although Crawlers are quite slow, if they get you, they will explode.
Hell Hounds are zombie dogs that you should watch out for. You need to consider that they explode after death, so the best solution is to kill them from a distance and not let them get close, which can be quite a challenge due to their mobility. The Hellhound can also be tamed at the doghouses, to fight alongside you.
Mimics are masked by the Aether Chest, and when you try to loot it, Mimic will appear and take you by surprise. Although these elite enemies are strong, you should have no trouble dealing with them at long range.
The main power of Disciples is that they can control hordes of other zombies. They will try to defend themselves by surrounding with the horde and attack you from a distance.
Manglers are strong elite zombies that are quite difficult to fight. They have quite a lot of HP, good armor, are pretty mobile, and can reach you from a long distance with their energy cannon.
You can find the Stormcaller in the Aether Storm that lingers around a random spot on the map -- its also marked on the map. The Stormcaller is another form of the Disciple, but way stronger and improves the strength of its zombie horde.
Mega Abomination are huge creatures that can be found in the High Threat zone and are considered the strongest NPCs in the game. You don't want to face them alone, instead, it's better to kill them with a squad and stock up on lots of ammunition.
The Grunt is a normal PMC soldier from the Terminus group. They spawn in camps or certain missions. They will attack in a bulk of soldiers.
The Shield Carrier is equipped with a ballistic shield that protects him from damage. You will see him running in front of his teammates to block out the damage.
The Elite Enemy is one of the toughest in MW3 Zombies. They wear heavy armor and wield strong guns. You will encounter them at special locations such as the Legacy Fortress.
