MW3 Zombies: All Enemies from the Zombie Type

Standard Zombie

Standard Zombies don't pose much of a threat on their own, but a crowd of them can be a problem for your squad. Any weapon will suit you to kill them, especially if you shoot them in the head.

  • Strengths: They appear in big numbers.
  • Weaknesses: Easy to kill with any weapon.

Lightly Armored Zombie

The Lightly Armored Zombie is wrapped in barbed wire and wears a green helmet. He is just a slightly more tanky version of the normal zombie and you will find him in Zone 2 or in the Aether Storm.

  • Strengths: They are more protected than standard zombies.
  • Weaknesses: You can eliminate them with normal weapons.

Armored Zombie

Armored Zombies are very similar to standard ones, but as the name implies, they have armor and are more protected. To kill them easily, you should use more powerful weapons.

  • Strengths: They are more heavily protected by their thick armor.
  • Weaknesses: You won't encounter a crowd of armored zombies.

Crawler

Crawlers are pretty nasty enemies because they crawl, their hitbox is much smaller, so it's harder to hit them, and they can sneak up on you. Although Crawlers are quite slow, if they get you, they will explode.

  • Strengths: They are more stealthy than other zombies and explode when they get close enough.
  • Weaknesses: Low HP and slow movement speed.

Hell Hound

Hell Hounds are zombie dogs that you should watch out for. You need to consider that they explode after death, so the best solution is to kill them from a distance and not let them get close, which can be quite a challenge due to their mobility. The Hellhound can also be tamed at the doghouses, to fight alongside you.

  • Strengths: Hell Hounds are quite fast and explode when they die.
  • Weaknesses: They have a rather small stock of HP.

Mimic

Mimics are masked by the Aether Chest, and when you try to loot it, Mimic will appear and take you by surprise. Although these elite enemies are strong, you should have no trouble dealing with them at long range.

  • Strengths: Mimics appear very unexpectedly.
  • Weaknesses: You will not meet them unless you loot the Aether Chest, and they appear only one at a time.

Disciple

The main power of Disciples is that they can control hordes of other zombies. They will try to defend themselves by surrounding with the horde and attack you from a distance.

  • Strengths: Disciples control other zombies.
  • Weaknesses: If there are no other zombies around, they pose almost no threat.

Mangler

Manglers are strong elite zombies that are quite difficult to fight. They have quite a lot of HP, good armor, are pretty mobile, and can reach you from a long distance with their energy cannon.

  • Strengths: They have high damage, a lot of HP, and a long attack range.
  • Weaknesses: Manglers can be easily avoided if you study their behavior.

Stormcaller

You can find the Stormcaller in the Aether Storm that lingers around a random spot on the map -- its also marked on the map. The Stormcaller is another form of the Disciple, but way stronger and improves the strength of its zombie horde.

  • Strengths: Stormcaller is regaining its own health by leeching on the zombies around him and the health of players.
  • Weaknesses: The Stormcaller is especially weak against the Blood Burner (Zombie Bike) special ability.

Mega Abomination

Mega Abomination are huge creatures that can be found in the High Threat zone and are considered the strongest NPCs in the game. You don't want to face them alone, instead, it's better to kill them with a squad and stock up on lots of ammunition.

  • Strengths: Mega Abomination has extremely high damage and HP, making it almost invulnerable.
  • Weaknesses: They appear only in the High Threat zone and are straightforward to spot.

Elite

The Elite Enemy is one of the toughest in MW3 Zombies. They wear heavy armor and wield strong guns. You will encounter them at special locations such as the Legacy Fortress.

  • Strengths: Heavy armor and strong guns can delete you from life within seconds.
