Way to Brimstone Sands - New World

Deutsch English

New World recently released an expansion that introduced the Brimstone Sands area. We’ll show you what requirements you need to fulfill and what quest you can use to enter the new part of the world.

What it’s about: The new update around Brimstone Sands not only brings a brand new part for the world of New World but also new enemies, locations, and even pyramids. We have already summarized the exact contents for you. Let’s take a closer look at the requirements for Brimstone Sands.

How to Unlock Brimstone Sands

If you tried to enter the new area just like that, you will quickly realize that this is not so easy, and you will die. The reason for this is that you first have to fulfill a quest. But there is also the catch. Depending on which faction you belong to, there is a different location for the quest. Additionally, you must be at least level 60 to accept the quest. We have summarized where you can accept the quest here.

The Marauders: If you are part of the marauders, you must go to the Ebonscale Reach settlement. You will meet Tomash Kovalenko at the outer wall, sitting on the wall. He will then give you the quest.

Marauders will find the quest in the settlement of Ebonscale Reach.

The Covenant Followers: If you belong to the Covenant Followers, you will meet Tomash Kovalenko in the Great Cleave area at the Cleave’s Point outpost. Here he sits near the forge and gives you his quest there.

If you are a member of the Covenant, the quest will start for you at the Cleave’s Point outpost.

The Syndicate: As part of the syndicate, Tomash Kovalenko awaits you near the inn in Mountainhome in the Shattered Mountain region.

In Mountainhome, the quest for members of the Syndicate starts.
The Quest: The quest itself is relatively simple. You have to make and use a Desert Cerate. With it, you can then enter Brimstone Sands. To make such a Desert Cerate, you need:
  • 2x Fish Oil
  • 3x Frostcliff Berries

Here you can find the Frostcliff Berries

The locations for the different factions differ again. We will show you which faction can find their berries where.

The Marauders: As a Marauder, you will find the Frostcliff Berries on the cliffs east of the Water Shrine of Ebonscale Reach.

The Covenant Followers: If you are part of the Covenant, you will find Frostcliff Berries near Sunderfort and the Tempest Valley Shrine.

Syndicate: As a member of the Syndicate, you must go to the cliffs in the northeast of the Mountainhome outpost to find the berries.

How to Craft the Desert Cerate & Enter Brimstone Sands

In the next step, you have to craft the Desert Cerate. To do this, go to a campsite or simply use an Arcane Repository crafting station. Once you have made the item, you will find it in your inventory under Quest Items. Use the Desert Cerate, and you can now travel to Brimstone Sands.

Theoretically, the quest sends you to different locations to enter Brimstone Sands, but you can now enter the area from anywhere.

In Wikala al-Waha, you will meet Buhawi; from there, you can start the main quest of Brimstone Sands.
